Loft Insulation

Loft insulation works by reducing the amount of heat lost from your roof – reducing the amount of fuel you need to burn for heating and saving you money. Smart Controls

Many homes were built after 1930s with empty cavities which proved to be an expensive drain on energy efficiency and heat conservation of the properties. About a third of all heat lost in an uninsulated home escape through the cavity walls.
Heat escapes via the nearest possible route and in homes it is the empty cavity which allows heat to escape quickly. Under Floor Insulation

Underfloor insulation can be installed in houses that have suspended floors or a cavity underneath. Older homes (pre-1970s) are most likely to have suspended timber floors. If you have air bricks or ventilation bricks on the outside wall(s) of your house that is below floor level, you probably have a suspended timber floor.
Floor insulation can also be installed on solid floors such as concrete, but this is a much bigger job, and you will need to build on top of the existing floor. Timber floors can be insulated by entering the crawl space via an existing hatch or creating a new one and laying mineral wool insulation supported by netting between the floor joists.
